What we store on your device

Our tools remember a few preferences in your browser, such as metric or imperial units and light or dark theme. This stays on your device, and we can't see it.

The temperature blanket planner also saves your blankets (place, colours and the rows you've ticked off) in your browser. We don't receive a copy. Clearing your browser's site data deletes them.

Services the temperature blanket planner uses

When you search for a place, your search text goes to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service to find it. If you choose "Use my location", your browser asks your permission first. We round the position to about 10 km before using it, and send it to Nominatim to look up the town name. To load temperatures, the place's rounded coordinates go to NASA's POWER service. These services receive your IP address, as with any website request, and handle it under their own policies.

Analytics

If you accept cookies, we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which tools are used. If you choose “Only necessary”, analytics runs without cookies and without identifying you.

Advertising

Some free pages may show ads from Google or an ad partner. With your consent, they may use cookies to show more relevant ads.

If you sign up, we store your email address with our email provider only to send you the newsletter. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
