Moss Stitch Temperature Blanket
One row of moss stitch per day in DK. Row-a-day crochet in worsted comes out far too long; DK moss lands at about 66 in.

Gauge swatch

Instructions
Plan
In the Temperature Blanket Planner, choose your town, year, daily high or average, Crochet and DK. Pick 8–12 bands and a palette. Print the colour key and the day chart.
Foundation
With a border colour, chain the even count (example: 250). Work Row 1 of moss stitch: sc (UK dc) in 4th ch from hook, *ch 1, sk (UK miss) next ch, sc in next ch; rep from * to end.
Daily row
Each day: Change to that day’s colour. Ch 2, turn. Sc in first ch-1 sp, *ch 1, sc in next ch-1 sp; rep from * to end, working the last sc into the turning-ch space.
Tick the day off in the tracker.
Border
After day 365, work 4 rounds of sc in the border colour, 3 sc in each corner.
Finishing
- Weave ends in weekly, into same-colour rows where you can.
- Block.

- Tired of weaving ends? Crochet over the tails for the first few stitches of each new row.
- Worsted fans: work 1 row every 2 days, or a moss row for the high and skip lows.
