Gauge swatch
Ch 14, work 8 rows. Gauge is flexible for a scarf.
Instructions
Scarf
Ch (sts + 2) (example: 20). Row 1: Hdc (UK htr) in 3rd ch from hook and each ch across (18).
Row 2: Ch 1, turn. Hdc in each st across (18). Put a marker in the first st of each row until you get used to finding it.
Repeat row 2 to 60 in (152 cm).
Finishing
- Weave in ends.
- Fringe: fold 3 strands of 12 in yarn, loop through every other stitch on each short end.
Designer’s notes
- Scarf getting narrower? You’re missing the last stitch. It hides just under the turning chain.
- Work in the back loop only for ridged stripes.
