Adult: ankle 9 in, calf 14 in. Adjust to your measurements.

Gauge swatch

Instructions

  1. Ankle cuff

    Cast on (example: 56). Join. Work *k2, p2* rib for 3 in (7.5 cm).

  2. Body

    Work the increase round from the Increase & Decrease Evenly. Knit until the body is 11 in (28 cm).

  3. Top

    Work the decrease round from the tool (72 → 64). Work *k2, p2* rib for 2 in. Bind off loosely.

Finishing

  • Weave in ends.
  • Make the second one the same.

Designer’s notes

  • Longer, over-the-knee warmers: body 18 in and top 3 in (knee around + 1 in).
  • Worn over boots? Add 4 sts to every count.
