Fibonacci Stripe Garter Wrap
A generous rectangular wrap with stripes spaced by the Fibonacci sequence (1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13), so the pattern never looks random.

- About 1,670 yd (1,530 m) DK in total. Choose “Scarf, cowl or wrap” with “Garter or ribbing”.

Instructions
Knit
Cast on (example: 110 sts). Knit every row, slipping the first stitch of each row purlwise with yarn in front.
Stripe sequence (in ridges, 1 ridge = 2 rows): 13 A, 1 B, 8 C, 2 A, 5 B, 3 C, 3 A, 5 B, 2 C, 8 A, 1 B, 13 C.
Carry colours not in use up the side; cut any colour not used for more than 8 ridges.
Repeat the sequence 6 times or until the wrap is 70 in (178 cm).
Bind off
Bind off loosely.
Finishing
- Weave in ends.
- Block lightly; garter doesn’t need hard blocking.
Designer’s notes
- Knit it sideways instead for long vertical stripes: cast on 70 × 5.5 = 385 sts on a long circular.
- The same sequence makes a great blanket; scale with the calculator.
